Coming & Going

  • There’s a mix of paid street parking and free two-hour in the surrounding blocks, as well as a pay lot located across the on the SW corner of Taylor and Water. If you need help unloading artwork for a documentation session, pull up to the rolling garage door near the SE corner of Yamhill and Water and give us a ring. We’ll come down to help.

  • There’s a callbox next to Boke Bowl near the main entrance of the Water Ave Commerce Center on Water Ave. Dial “Single File” and we’ll buzz you in. You can always give us a ring at 503-512-9587 if you have any issues.

  • We accept all major debit/credit cards as well as checks. Cash is always appreciated, although we do not keep change in the studio.

Photo Studio

  • While we prefer appointments for most documentation, we offer drop-off services for all works on paper less than 20 inches, as well as smaller scale paintings (30 inches or less) in quantities of five or less. Turnaround is usually 2-3 business days. We ask that you pick up your work within two business days of the completion of documentation.

  • Yes, color correction is included in the price. All clients will have an opportunity to proof the colors on our calibrated studio monitors at the end of their appointment.

  • Files from most documentation sessions are delivered within two business days via a WeTransfer link.

  • We typically provide (1) TIFF, (1) high-res JPEG, and (1) web-sized JPEG version for each artwork we document.

  • Maximum resolution varies based off the size and shape of the work, but all works are photographed with a 102 mp medium format camera which allows for 1:1 reproductions or larger. Please let us know if your project has specific resolution needs in advance of your appointment.

Print Studio

  • GSM stands for “grams per square meter”. A higher GSM will have a heavier weight and a more substantial feel.

  • Our standard papers are made from alpha cellulose (wood pulp) and are typically lighter weight. They are acid-free and archival-rated for decades.

    Our fine art papers are made from cotton rag and have a substantial feel. They are acid-free, museum-grade, and rated to last for hundreds of years under ideal conditions.

    • TIFF or PSD file at 300dpi at the intended print size will give the best results. JPEG & PNGs are also acceptable file formats.

    • When preparing files for print, it’s always best practice to work on a calibrated monitor with your brightness set around 50%.

    • For film scans, please ensure your image has been checked for dust & scratches. We offer retouching services, but additional charges may apply.

  • Yes, we offer free 11×17 proofs (8×10 full frame and 8×10 full scale on a single sheet) with any print 16×20 or larger.
