Single File Studio, originally named Portland Art Documentation, was founded in 2022 by fine art photographer Aaron Wessling. After years of photographing artwork for working artists, local collectors, galleries, and museums, Aaron opened up a studio focused on meeting the specific needs of art documentation. In January 2025, Aaron brought on fellow photographer and experienced fine art printer Rory ONeal to open and run a fine art printing arm of the studio, creating a space for artists & photographers that offers a museum-quality, color-controlled workflow from digital capture to final print.
Single File is located in the Water Avenue Commerce Center, just a few blocks from the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon’s Central Eastside District.
Aaron Wessling

Aaron Wessling is a Portland-based fine art photographer & the founder of Single File Studio. A native Floridian and graduate of the University of Florida, Aaron moved to Portland in 2011, where he volunteered at the Newspace Center of Photography and began pursuing freelance commercial photography. In 2017, he co-founded The Portland Darkroom, an analog collective and community darkroom that provides a working space for local film photographers.
His work has been displayed at the International Center of Photography, Blue Sky Gallery, Newspace Center for Photography, and LightBox Photographic Gallery. He spends his free time gardening, cycling, and exploring the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest with his beautiful wife and two young boys.

Rory ONeal
(Print Studio Manager)
Rory ONeal has been making art his entire life. He has a BFA in studio art, graduating with a specialization in sculpture. After college, his focus shifted to painted works and- eventually- toward his current medium of photography.
Rory was a member of Blackfish Gallery in Portland for eight years, and has exhibited in juried shows all over the nation. Over these years, he honed his expertise in digital printing. He brings a a lifelong passion for art and a wealth of expertise to his work at Single File, all focused on bringing your prints to life with polish and perfection.
